OFFICER DOWNE (2016) — Sleeper Awakened

Obviously has a point of view, and there are some strong campy elements and inventive shots. But, overall, it is a clunky B+ comic film, with a jumpy story and outrageousness dripping off every cell (for both good and evil), that is certainly fun but limited in a multitude of ways.

A frenetic and stylized comic interpretation that is ambitious, enjoyable, and impressively cast/made with the limited resources & time. Though being fun and idiosyncratic, there are a bevy of problematic elements and unpolished pieces that hinder the film and activated my “Nitpicker 9000”.
