TERMINATOR GENISYS (2015)

August 19, 2015 by Jacob Nelson in 2015, 3, ACTION, SCIENCE FICTION, T

8/19/2015 - Terminator Genisys (2015) - 3-/10

Oof. That was bad. Of course it made little to no sense (fun exercise: try to have someone explain the time travel plots in that movie. Saying they will have a difficult time is a huge understatement. A David Lynch tale might make more sense), but the gratuitous shoe-horning of familiar lines, scenes, and characters sucked the life out of it. These aren't wink-and-nod nostalgia fun anymore, Hollywood! They are just exhausted once-loved memes that do more to cripple the story than enhance. At least Salvation tried to give us something different (only at times and poorly, but still).
This was a failed idea of an effort, that never worked on any level. Too bad.
