A COMPANY MAN (2012)

November 02, 2015 by Jacob Nelson in 2012, 7, ACTION, C, DRAMA, FOREIGN

11/2/2015 - A Company Man (2012) - 7-/10

(sick review) I know as I type this that I will disagree with it later, but f*** it, sometimes "it's all in the reflexes"... Good little action/drama. The plot and story are pretty generic and I have seen it done better (ahemBittersweetLifeahem), but they were serviceable enough.

I really bumped this film up above its probable station for 3 reasons. 1. I enjoyed the "office drone/assassins" angle. Reminded me a bit of John Wick, hinting at a larger interesting world that isn't explained. Not as well or as cool, but still... 2. The metaphor of the whole film, "work, namely faceless office work, as being evil/soul crushing personified by the fact that they murder others and themselves doing it", is fantastic. 3. Major bump: one guy wrote, starred, and directed it. Tommy Wiseau, eat your heart out.
