Harrowing. Intense. Superbly acted with deft skill, heart-wrenching passion, and a subtleness that bespoke the believability of their plights.Marvelously crafted, with smart and purposeful direction, terrific sound design & a capturing score.

Genius to find that amazing young actor. And pairing with Larson, you get an overflow of quality and a charismatic union that pinches the soft underbelly of your empathy. I can't remember the last film I was so wrapped up in as the dramatic ebbs and peaks or the psychology of the characters.

This is a staggering film, chock full of harsh depressive realities, transportive whimsical innocence, and a worldly beauty all its own. It will bring you along and keep you, long after the credits have rolled.
