Charming and whimsical, in a grounded way. A personable and slightly touching criminal enterprise that aims to revel in family and its purpose. I probably would have appreciated a few more quirky bits and tidy comedic touches, but it is certainly enjoyable and chain-smokingly jaunty.
It doesn’t have the depth I might have hoped or cutting emotional insight, but there are nods of the cap there. Its a fun cookie snack of a film; plenty pleasant but not a fulfilling meal.
