A solid and well-rounded examination of the immutable mystery of the Dyatlov Pass incident. Though it mentions the more outlandish explanations in passing, this is a much more grounded and detective approach to solving the mystery of these poor hikers’ passings.

A touch of the History Channel special is there as breaking new documentary ground isn’t on the path that it walks, but I appreciate the effort put in. The dangerous travel to Russia and repeating the fateful steps, the speaking with those close to the deceased & the investigations, thoughtful discourse on the oddities of the evidence and the legitimate possibilities; it was all appreciated and displayed the effort put in.

This isn’t a “paranormal piece”, made for shocks and exploitation. This is disciplined, investigative and provides some strong possibilities that are legitimate and compelling. There is no definitive answer but this is a doc to provide insightful research into this enigma.
