HIDDEN (2015)

October 05, 2015 by Jacob Nelson in 2015, 5, H, HORROR, THRILLER, SCIENCE FICTION

10/5/2015 - Hidden (2015) - 5/10

The first half to 3/4 is a pretty decent little suspense/horror film. Some tenseness and suspense, with the right amount of intrigue. Skarsgaard and Rosebaum are good in this LFOE (last family on earth), though the child was a bit annoying. So dark and atmospheric were the shots; reminded me of Alien 3 in the dark tunnels and basements, with so little ambient light and such danger lurking around every corner.

The last act falls flat with a possibly predictable twist and some looseness to the plot and sense coming in. I respect the ideas, but it all just didn't quite work.

Overall, a satisfying average little post-apocalyptic thriller.
