TRUMBO (2015)

January 27, 2016 by Jacob Nelson in 2015, 5, BIOGRAPHY, DRAMA, T, Oscars 2016

1/27/2016 - Trumbo (2015) - 5-/10

An altogether average film. Cranston is strong, but he is singular in this fairly standard cursory biopic. It seemed to be missing both breadth and depth, giving facts as a History docudrama might, missing the emotion and storytelling of a feature film.

Now, this is a fine film. It just lacked a specialness or grander sentiment. The ideas were there, just not quite executed.
