9/6/20 - The Courier (2019) - 3/10

Most of this film makes no sense and chooses the illogical option at almost every turn. It also had a strange way of building a world that could be interesting without giving us any characters, plot, or reason. A wishful Atomic Blonde meets The Villainess, but without the style or guile.

Olga is not bad with what she is presented. She makes the action work, but her character has no meaningful pathos. Oldman is lost in his eye patch gangster role. I swear, every time he opened his mouth I just wanted him to scream at someone a la Leon the Professional. Sadly, no such luck.

Pretty lifeless, bland, and uneventful action vehicle that might pass your time, but you wouldn’t be out of bounds to just pass it by.
