A French fighter escapes his past only for it to brutally catch up to him in Thailand, setting him on a quest to save his daughter at all costs. If you want the visceral little cousin to The Raid/Night Comes for Us & the Oldboy hallway fight, Mayhem! Is your fist to the throat. Compelling and impellent with its ferocity and grudge-filled revenge action extravaganza. It is brutal, in a way that you feel like Josh Brolin should be screaming it in your face. The choreography is tight while the camera work interacts well to capture it and make it feel both very alive and decidedly deadly. One of the better intense action extravaganzas I have seen recently.
