JURASSIC WORLD: REBIRTH (2025)
8/12/25 - Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025) - 3+/4-/10
Ugh. I think everyone was asleep at the wheel here. The producers who greenlit and financed this, the writer who snored through the cliches and plot holes, the director who got actors on set so that is something, and the actors who...were there - I'm not sure anyone cared about this, not them and certainly not me. Placed within the context of the series and especially the last set of 'World' pics, and it makes even less sense. Dinos were everywhere, but that last film set-up development was maybe too much or unwanted so screw the progression and continuity of franchise development - ALL THE DINOS ARE DYING OR GONE! Now, move on! Whatever... Ok, we have a film where no one cares about Dinos (that's right, you have ruined the thesis of your franchise), but what if dark corporate biotech greed nefariously instigated a scenario where a group of supposedly skilled dino adventurers are put in dino danger... What a new plot!... Plus, there was ANOTHER secret other installation that had even more hybridinos - SO ORIGINAL... and there is a family with kids that must survive as well - NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE.... Yes, it's all so tired and uninspired, but they couldn't even execute a single element to instill caring, compassion, drama, excitement, or wonder. The visuals feel so flat and lifeless, and while serviceable, can anyone really say that these dinos look as good or better than dinos 30 years ago?
Unless you are a Jurassic completist (may dinoheaven help you), skip this Jurassic junk.
