ARCO (2025)

March 15, 2026 by Jacob Nelson in 2025, 5, A, FOREIGN, FANTASY, Oscars 2026, SCIENCE FICTION

2/26/26 - Arco (2025) - 5-/10

Honestly, disappointing. I had waited so many months to see this and, while fine, it lacked pizzazz and potency. I found myself completely unimpressed by the animation, untroubled by any of the drama, and let down by the taciturn nature of their sci-fi imagination. It just sort of happened and I never really found myself hooked or awed, except for maybe 5 minutes where there was a hint of emotional development between two characters meeting/aquainting themselves with eachother. So much promise and potential to get so little.
