THE VOICE OF HIND RAJAB (2025)
2/24/26 - The Voice of Hind Rajab - 7-/10
Absolutely harrowing as the director of the brilliant Four Daughters again blends real life with the dramatic, this time its archived phone conversations with dramatic recreations, to take us on the emotional spiral of a 6-year old girl’s emergency call while trapped in a car under IDF fire. I would say that the first 45 min are special and grinding, but it does lose some of its momentum as it progresses on - not that there isn’t significance or impact, but being stuck in the singular situation and the consistent reiteration hurts rather than help the overall presentation. Sill quite good and sincerely sorrowfilled.
